REAL TIME VIDEO JOCKEING - THE USE OF ONLINE RESOURCES IN REALTIME
Many people are asking: What is Real Data Joceing and what
do I need to become a Real Data Jockey?
---> Real Data Jockey needs
good internet connection, at least 2 computers, audio/video mixer and at least 2 video cameras. We think, that survilence camera is the best way to grab visual material from the web. If your machine has a video uoutput, you can connect it directly to the mixer, but this technique has several disadvantages:
1) you can't use the computer while it is playing selected clip (when survilance camera is used, it is possible to look for the next clip while playing);
2) you can get undesired black edges.
Here http://wtv.re-lab.net/rdj/ is MIXER used by OSMENOGS. Having a look at it will help you to understand what kind of resources can be used. Animated gifs are very good and reliable for the video mix ...
